Salt River Long Rifles

Salt River Long Rifles is a black powder muzzleloading gun club located on Whites Lane in Harrodsburg, KY. We are found at the Mercer Co. fish & Game Farm near Kentucky's historic Ft. Harrod. The club was organized in June, 1991. We are a charter club of the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. The mission of our organization is to encourage and promote the advanced organized shooting of muzzleloading firearms while also promoting higher standards of sportsmanship, safety and fellowship among black powder enthusiasts. we want to bring a greater sense of awareness to our community about our sport and its historical significance. We also try to promote the historical era from 1750-1840. We host an annual rendezvous with a living history encampment for this era (1750-1840) that is open to the local schools and the public.
